Data Deletion Instructions
This page explains what data SOCIAL DM AI SYSTEM stores and how to request that it be deleted. It is a step-by-step companion to our Privacy Policy, not a replacement for it.
Effective date: September 1, 2026
1. What we store
Depending on how the service is used, we may store: account and workspace information (email address, authentication data, workspace membership); Instagram connection information (the connected account's identifiers, an encrypted access token, and the permissions granted -- instagram_business_basic and instagram_business_manage_messages); message and conversation content and metadata exchanged through a connected Instagram account; business knowledge entered by a business (products, services, prices, and similar); and service and security records needed to operate the product. See our Privacy Policy for the full list.
2. How to request deletion
If you are a business customer: contact us through the support contact provided to your business account, from the email address on your account, and tell us whether you want your account deleted, a specific workspace deleted, or a connected Instagram account's stored conversation data deleted. Never include your password or Instagram access token in the request -- we do not need them to process it.
If you are an Instagram user who messaged a connected business: you can contact that business directly, or contact us through the support contact provided to your business account. Include the business's Instagram handle, your own Instagram identifier or handle, and an approximate date of the conversation so we can locate the right records. We may need to verify the request and coordinate with the connected business before deleting data.
3. What happens next
We aim to complete deletion requests within a reasonable time after verifying the request. We will let you know by email once the request has been processed. We may retain limited information where required to comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements, as described in our Privacy Policy.
4. Disconnecting Instagram vs. deleting data
Disconnecting a business's Instagram account from the service (in-app) immediately destroys the locally stored, encrypted access token and stops new messages from being received, but it does not by itself delete previously stored conversation records -- use the request process above for that.
5. Data Meta holds directly
This page covers data stored by SOCIAL DM AI SYSTEM. Meta and Instagram separately retain data under their own policies; requests concerning information held independently by Meta must be directed to Meta.
6. Contact
Questions about this page or a deletion request can be sent through the support contact provided to your business account.
